Vpt 8 preview window not working

Hello,

The vpt preview window only shows this checkerboard pattern as soon as I open a project path. Any ideas?

it doesn´t seem like VPT has loaded a project, but I assume you have followed the instructions on how to open a project? Make sure the VPT project is in a place on your hard drive where you have full permissions, like the Documents folder.

Thanks for your quick reply.

All I do is File>Open>projectpath.maxpat in the empty project folder.

I was working fine, until I thought of selecting the file projectpath.maxpat and with "open with" I selected vpt. It then had this preview issue and I disassociated the file, but since then it is not working. I erased everything associated with vpt and downloaded the zip file again, but still not working. It also seems to remember tests I did with vpt previously, although I deleted everything (see attached image). I then copied the projectpath.maxpat file from another pc which works fine and the preview window still doesn't work (see attached image).

sorry, didn´t see this before now. I really don´t know what´s going on. But is the VPT main output working?

Yes, the output is working. But I can't really work with the mapping...

I know i'm really late, but i had the exact same problem, what i did is i clicked on a yellow "P" button on the bottom tab of the main window, it closed the preview window, than i clicked it again and it brought the preview back working just fine!
