Hello- is there a tutorial or instructions for VPT video trigger? When
I trigger the chosen source/layer from VPT I see the zone react to my
movement- but the video in the VPT preview window does not change. And
help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm sorry- I should have been more specific-
1) How do I sync video trigger with VPT? Through the ip address bar?
How do I send info out to video trigger?
When I look in VPT at sources or router I do not see Video trigger.
Thanks

Hi,
there is no tutorial for the video trigger unfortunately.
The clue is to look at the section in the lower left part, which
resembles the router, the only difference is that the first number
corresponds to the trigger zones.

Take a look at these two screenshots and see if you can figure out
what is going on:

The ip adress should stay on the default 127.0.0.1 if you are running
videotrigger on the same computer as VPT.

Hi, I'm still extremely new to VPT. I can't for some reason get the video trigger to work with VPT, the ip address is the same on both and I've got a basic understanding of the router but I still can't get movement to trigger the videos.

Hello,
If you open the "osc" tab in VPT and click the "monitor in" button then (without changing any of the network settings from their state when you originally downloaded the software) you will see the messages coming in to VPT from video trigger.

PS... if you set the osc send parameters like this

then it will start your first video.

Thank you I have that exactly as your pictures show now, however the videos despite the messages appearing in osc, aren't changing in the preview window. Sorry, I know I'm probably missing something really obvious.

Maybe the T (trigger) button for the sources?

I'm able to get the video to play using the video trigger, is there a way to get it to disappear from the screen to reveal the layer bellow? Thank you so much for all of the help.

you can send layer (no) fade (from) 0 (off) (to) 1 (on) to show the layer, and layer (no) fade (from) 1 (on) (to) 0 (off) to fade the layer out...
