Cheap alternative Matrox TripleHead2Go to combine multiple projectors

Hi all, I'm looking for a cheap alternative to the Matrox TripleHead2Go to combine multiple projectors into one "screen". I work with MacBooks (one current with M1 chip and one slightly older). Can Macs possibly do this "out of the box?" Or is there other external hardware that has the same effect but is not as expensive as the Matrox?
