Hello,

I am hoping you can help me.  I read page 27 on how to turn on the sound.  I followed the instructions to the letter.  I was elated to hear sound coming out of the speakers.  However, after exiting the VPT 7 application and subsequently after restarting VPT.. I found that I have lost the sound and have tried everything including reinstall of the VPT7 software.  No good.  What do you think the problem could be?

I am running a PC
i5 quad core 2.8 GHZ per core
24 GB RAM
8 Gig Video Ram
Crossfire (X technology linked video cards)
VPT7 - Cannot hear audio.wmv

HC,

I have been doing more testing and have realized the issue only exists on my desktop machine.  My laptop works perfectly.

I am wondering why it happens only

Bobon desktop?

Hello Bob.......
In VPT(folder)/support/interfaces you will find "Audio Status.maxpat"
and if you open that from within VPT7 you should find that you can set up your audio correctly......

David,

Thank you .... Let me make sure I understand...

1.  I go into the VPT folders and open the support folder.
2. Then the Interfaces folder.
3. I would then launch the VPT application.
4. Then go back to the Interfaces folder and double click to launch "Audio Status.maxpat" and launch the application.
5. Set up the audio.
6. Close "Audio Status.maxpat"

If that is correct then no need to reply.  I will let you know either way if I am successful.  Again, thank you

Bob

David,

After looking at the "Audio Status.maxpat file it is apparent that this is not executable on it's own.  So I have no clue how to start any application within VPT7.

File:open from the top menu bar in VPT7 will let you open the audio status file
