Airserver/syphon output as Video Source

I am reposting a previous question - hoping to be a bit more clear on the goals. 

Goal: 

To incorporate live iPad Screen output (not camera - but a drawing program) into VPT7 as a source

Airserver indicates is syphon enabled - and includes the following description: 

"Mac video apps that use Syphon will be able to use an AirServer mirror stream as a video source! This can be a huge asset to VJs and live-video editors. This is a Mac-only feature and will only work when Mirroring."

Anyone have any success getting VPT7 to recognize iPad output using Airserver?

just to let you know, I tested airserver today and was able to get my ipad to show up in vpt using syphon.
