VPT 8 First Timer

Hello,

I'm new to VPT and to projection as a whole.

I tried using the software. I WATCHED the tutorial video and READ the manual but still I cannot get a preview display on the projector.

I'm using Windows 10.

I'm attaching a few screenshots in which you can see that the screen in extended but just shows my desktop.

Also I've tried switching to second screen but no luck.

The window screen is also too large and I cannot find a way to fix it. Already tried the compatibility option in the properties.

Looking forward to all helpful replies.

Are these both of your displays in one screen shot? If you press ESC on your keyboard it should go into fullscreen, though probably on your main display on the left. To have it go fullscreen on the right display, just drag the output window to the other screen and then press ESC, it should go fullscreen there then.

As for the window being too big, did you hit the small minus sign " - " in the upper right? (as seen on this screenshot from the manual, labeled 1: What-s-new-in-VPT-8.png) Normally that should trim down the upper part of the window that has the title VideoProjectionTool of windows, and allow you to see the bottom of the VPT window.

Yes they are.

I can manage with the screen being too big.
I've tried the full screen option but the issue is that the output is not showing in the projector.

I just need basic video manipulation but I can't even get the projector output.

Have you tried dragging the output window to the display of the projector? The output window is the small one under the preview window (titled vpt).

Well I tried and nothing actually happened.

It didn't really transition per se.

What do you mean it didn't transition? Are you unable to drag the window to the second display?

Yes exactly.
Tomorrow I think I'll make a video of the whole process it will be easy to understand.
