Obviously, this pauses progress on CEP in certain regions for a while. But as some of the route builders have been slowly draining their creativity over the last 3 years, doing something a little bit different is helping us to regain motivation and power to work on the main layout.
Thank You!
Main motivations were pretty much:
1. Finally something set in our home region for multiplayer.
2. We were tired of playing German and American maps. And the Italian one is not good.
3. Some of us wanted to create certain regions for ages, some of us wanted to create certain locomotives for ages.
4. Strong support from all the people around helped us a lot.
Though I have to admit I noticed our focus on the route decline since the beginning of 2021 a little too much for comfort. However I would still like to keep the promises we put up and even if some people from our team leave in the future, I myself dont want to give up and I want to finish at least the mainlines of the European countries our route spans across.
One thing that keeps me on edge the however, is the route size. It has gotten too big for multiplayer to work. On top of that the loading time is awfully long even on high-end computers. Obviously splitting it into smaller parts would be an option, but its something I dont really want to do.
I am not saying this is the end of CEP, we are nowhere close to that. I just want to say that things will probably go slower and we wont get V1.0 by 1.1.2022.
No members are wanting to leave as of now, but some of them at least plan to stop working on the route and focus more on other things like locomotives, traincars, scripts or other payware projects after CE:Mini is finished. After CE:Mini, even I will probably create a highspeed fictional route and then get back to CEP.
Non-stop work in same theme for 3 years takes a toll and we want to keep going, but a vacation is needed
I tried to explain it as best as I can. I hope you guys understand This is not the end, dont worry
Just wanted to clarify few things and give you guys insight as to what is going on from my observation.
Really like that idea and really looking forward playing one round of MP with you guys asap! I'm just wondering ? why do you guys use soundbarriers that much. There is such a nice background but all that can be seen when driving are walls and soundbarriers (at least in the video). I'd really love to see that station with less walls and more scenery and believe me the additional work you'd need to put into this will turn out way (way) better!
It mostly has to do with my style of work and me wanting to save as much performance as possible while bringing as much details as I can. Having to populate big part of the town with scenery would at a certain point cause the FPS to drop. Even now, with as many trains as in the video, the FPS howers at 15FPS with Ultra settings and 15k drawing distance on high-end PCs. As such there will probably be some drawing distance limitations to the route and quick optimizations done before release (mostly with the forests). Walled off towns are only the ones at the mainline and modernised part of branchlines in Slovakia. Majority of towns in other countries are not walled off.
I will remove majority of the walls in Slovakia sometime after the release, mainly at the branchline.
There are still little things like this to pick out and figure out, but we want to finish the route already and make this route look good even with walls. Its not that big of a problem as it is only the biggest towns which in the end will have the walls, maybe, unless I decide to remove those too..
Also they are there because I spent over a week on that station alone and then had to rush the rest of the parts to get them done in reasonable amount of time
I see the work but most people probably don't. Having an unique surrounding make the big difference between a decent station that could be anywhere and fantastic unique station which impress people. So let them see how much you put into this ?
Alright, I will try my best and get the last things done this week, hopefully release for weekend. As for preview videos and streams, those people will get the pre-fix version, however with lag optimisation in place. 5 days to go
The preview stream by Sharadise will happen tonight at 9pm CEST on Twitch!
Please keep in mind however that he is playing on MAC version of the game and his game has problem with some of the PBR assets, as their texture files can not be recognised and unpacked, as such, please excuse the missing Catenary and Houses on this stream. The catenary and houses are there on PC.

(do not mind Eagle County, that is one of my edits)
They are marked as payware only because of regional editions. However ECML Kings Cross - Edinburgh is a T:ANE route, as such I will remove the dependency regarding that route.
However as for other routes listed there, I will not do anything, as it seems that you do not even have installed content from any of the regional eidtions, nevermind any other editions of the game.
Please firstly install or update your base game content and then let me know. However if you own one of the 3 regional editions (North America, UK or Europe), which we do not support because of the lack of content available, you do not have to let me know, because as said before, we do not support these 3 versions.
I will also put this into the description of the route and session.
Trainz.de is your place to go for topics about the train simulation Trainz. Our forums offer you some space for questions and discussions, you can find some knowledge in our lexicon, our download area offers extensions for your Trainz and a lot more.Trainz is a product-series of the australian company N3V, the current version is the Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019 (TRS 2019).
Trainz Plus is the latest version of Trainz and is available through Trainz Plus and Gold Class memberships (and now also through the Steam Store). Trainz Plus build is updated regularly with new features and content. Many of these features (or probably most of them) will end up being included in future versions of Trainz.
To bind these new options to your key of choice, go to System Menu > Settings > Control Settings and scroll down 2/3rds to the Camera settings. Note that if you are used to using the "Ctrl" Field of View Modifier key, you will need to bind this in Control Settings as well.
Trainz Plus updates the Surveyor Menubar to match the visual style of the TRS19 Driver menubar and provide access to several new features. This provides greater consistency across the modules and provides easy access for the new camera modes.
Unified Driver Surveyor (UDS) replaces the concept of "Quickdrive" and greatly expands upon the capabilities previously provided. When you switch mode, the User Interface changes to the appropriate Driver or Surveyor UI and functionality changes accordingly.
You can now browse all DLC items and choose which items you want to install, uninstall, purchase or update. The current implementation uses the "multi-part" packages but also supports a new "one-part" download that will eliminate the "partial install" problems.
Additionally, this update introduces further support for the new Trainz Content Creator Program (TCCP) system for packaging and releasing new DLC packs through the Trainz Store. This includes support for installing DLC packs via the 'tzarc' file format, leading to improved DLC submission, installation, and removal abilities in Trainz.
The build number for this release has increased to TrainzBuild 4.7; as such any content generated or edited within this release (i.e. routes, sessions, consists, etc) will not be compatible with TRS19 SP1 or TRS19 Platinum. The next update for TRS19 and TRS19 Platinum will allow 4.7 content to be used in these editions. TrainzBuild 4.7 content is not yet supported by the DLS at the time of writing.
Instead of editing and driving alone on routes that reside on your hard drive (and uploading to the Download Station to share with others), MPS routes reside on our servers and are accessible to everyone*.With the Unified Driver Surveyor feature, players can switch modes instantly to drive and operate trains throughout each route, and jump back into Surveyor (Editor) mode to tweak or extend the world*.
