Voteleft2009 team pays revolutionary homage to the veteran CPI(M) leader, Founding member of All India Democratic Women Association (AIDWA) and former MP of CPI(M) from Mumbai Com. Ahilya Rangnekar who passed away on 19th April. She was 87.

 

Com.Ahilya, better known as Ahilyatai, was one of the agressive, militant (without shooting bullets from guns and killing innocents) and a true mass leader of CPI(M). She was one of the brightest star in the Women movement not only in Maharashtra but also in entire nation.

 

She dedicated her entire life in establishing the  CPI(M) and communist movement in Maharashtra. She was the sister of legendary CPI(M) leader comrade B.T.Randive (BTR).

 

The entire left movement will remember her as a true revolutionary who spent her entire life in the effort of builiding a new, progressive, secualr society where every women will get her true rights in a classless society.

 

Vote Left 2009 team salutes this revolutionary spirit of her which was alive in her till her last breath. Let us come together and pledge to work towards that dream towards which "Ahilyatai" was working till her last moments and always want to see in real life.
