Dear All,

As mentioned at the onset of the VoteLeft 2009 campaign this mailing list was of limited time meant to serve a limited purpose, that of promoting a Left and people's alternative in the 15th Lok Sabha elections using the cyberspace.

The elections are over and so is the purpose of VoteLeft 2009 and hence it is time to end this mailing list. There are a few threads running on the list however and we do not wish to end that abruptly. So this list will be deleted in two days from now, that is 23rd May 2009.

As promised, we will not store any email ids or phone numbers since we respect your right to privacy and do not want the list to land in the hands of unscrupulous marketeers. Even inadvertently so. However there has been some lively discussion on this thread and encouraged by that the people associated with running VoteLeft 2009 have decided to continue this discussion in a longer format in another list. It's called the Progressive Discussion Forum (PDF). You can join it by subscribing to pdf...@googlegroups.com and also post messages to the list. This forum aims to keep alive the spirit of discussion and debate so as to bring about a change in the extent of people's involvement in politics and political discussion.

So it's bye bye form the VoteLeft 2009 moderators.

Are you deleting the mails?

That is not good. Archive it at gmane or osdir for example (mail ids
will be obfuscated) or in the new mailing list.

Best
