Aloha and thank you for your support.
Electing Nathaniel Kinney to the District 5 seat of the Honolulu City Council is an important effort that we take very seriously in our campaign. When we consider the various issues that both our District 5 area and broader Oahu community face, we believe that it is time to transition to new leadership.
This year, as a state, we celebrate 50 years of statehood. As we celebrate this milestone, we must also chart our course for the next 50 years. We believe that fresh perspectives and fresh ideas are needed to develop plans to resolve our problems. Although Nathaniel cannot (nor does he attempt to) fix all our problems, we are confident that Nathaniel is an important part of a new generation of leaders.
A NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS
A new generation of leaders have already begun to stand up and take an active role in our communities. For example,
Chris Lee is a state representative of the 51st Representative District.
Ikaika Anderson was recently elected in a similar city council special election only a few months ago. In 2010 we can also expect to see more young candidates campaigning for City Council seats.
Stanley Chang will be one of them. There are numerous other young and developing leaders working in the public, private and non-profit sectors of Hawaiʻi. Again, Nathaniel is part of this new generation of leaders and we hope that in addition to your vote, you will also support our campaign to get him elected.

UPCOMING EVENTS
There are two upcoming events that Nathaniel has been invited to participate in. These events are candidate forums.
- July 7, 2009 - Hawaii Public Radio - 8am until 9am - open to the public with limited seating call 955-8821 for details.
- July 22, 2009 - Honolulu Advertiser & ʻOlelo Community Television - 6pm until 7pm
We expect more candidate forums to be scheduled and we will update you about those.
Lastly, we hope that youʻll encourage your family, friends, neighbors and co-workers to support Nathaniel Kinney even if they do not live in the District 5 area. Although your friends and family members may not be residents of District 5, our city council members still make decisions that affect all Oʻahu residents. Although they may not be able to vote, we still appreciate their support. Please encourage them to visit our website,
www.VoteForKinney.com often to check for updates.
We thank you for subscribing and supporting our efforts.
