Yourinternet company may be able to assist you in staying connected. Consumers should reach out to their internet company to see if they offer alternative low-cost internet plans. They may be able to help you enroll in a new and affordable plan even though the ACP benefit is no longer available.

Why can I no longer apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP)?

Due to a lack of additional funding from Congress, the ACP stopped accepting new applications as of February 7, 2024. The last fully funded month of the ACP was April 2024, and the program has ended for now. If Congress provides more funds for the ACP, the FCC will issue additional information.

When will my ACP benefit end?

The last fully funded month of the ACP was April 2024 and the program has ended for now. Contact your internet company if you have questions about your bill.

For Chrome, there is an extension called MultiLogin, which gives support for different sessions in each tab. Note that it is only free for personal use, so if you are using it at work, you may have to email the developer to inquire about a commercial license.

As far as I know, there is no extension for Internet Explorer that allows for multiple sessions in the same window. But for IE10, to get a new session in a new window, press alt to open the menu bar, then click File->New session.

To test multiple sessions, you can try using the very handy IE browser session test page. You can set the background color of the page, then open it again in a new session and you should be able to set a different background. It also displays what sessions are being stored in the browser's sessionStorage and localStorage.

Chrome Browser: You can use MultiLogin as suggested in other answer or to create multiple login screens in different tabs within same Chrome window you can use other extension, it's really good and I'm using it: SessionBox

To deliver maximum cost savings to families, the Biden-Harris Administration secured commitments from 20 leading internet providers to offer ACP-eligible households a high-speed internet plan for no more than $30 per month. Eligible families who pair their ACP benefit with one of these plans can receive high-speed internet at no cost. However, without Congressional action to extend funding for the program, 23 million households will lose that benefit, and will see their internet costs go up or lose internet access at the end of April.

On October 25, 2023, the Biden-Harris Administration sent Congress a supplemental request for $6 billion to extend funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program. Despite that request, Republicans in Congress have failed to act. Without action from Republicans in Congress, this program will sunset later this spring and tens of millions of Americans may no longer be able to afford high-speed internet service. President Biden is once again calling on Republicans in Congress to join their Democratic colleagues in support of extending funding for the Affordable Connectivity Program, so tens of millions of Americans can continue to access this essential benefit.

ACP-eligible households can also receive a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet from certain participating providers, with a small copay. To get a discounted device, contact a participating provider. The providers offering discounted devices are listed at -connectivity-program-providers.

Most eligible families can receive a benefit of up to $30 per month applied to the cost of their internet service. ACP-eligible households who live on Tribal lands are eligible for a benefit of up to $75 per month.

Yes. You can also combine these benefits with other state and local benefits where available. They can be applied to the same qualifying service or separately to a Lifeline service and an Affordable Connectivity Program service with the same or different providers. For example, an eligible household could have a Lifeline-supported mobile phone service and a separate home internet service that is supported through the Affordable Connectivity Program.
