Thursday Vrat Katha Pdf

Inthe last post I had posted about Sai vrat with its procedure and Katha .Since readers need in English hence I am posting here in English.

Rules to be followed for Sai Baba Vrat:

1. Any woman, man or child can do this vrat.

2. This vrat can be done by any person without any difference of caste and creed.

3. This is a very miraculous vrat. Desired fruits are obtained by doing it for 9 Thursdays according to the rules.

4. This vrat can be started from any Thursday by taking Sai Baba's name. One should pray to Sai Baba with complete devotion for the fulfillment of the desire for which the Vrat is done.

5. Sai Baba must be worshipped in the morning or in evening. Sai Baba's photograph must be placed on a yellow cloth. Clean the photograph with clear water. Tilak of Chandan (sandalwood) and Kumkum must be applied to the photograph of Sai Baba. Yellow coloured flowers or garland must be offered to Sai Baba, incense sticks and lamp must be lighted and then the main story of the vrat must be read. Sai Baba's name must be remembered and then prasad must be distributed (prasad may consist of a some sweet or fruits).

6. This vrat can be done by eating only fruits ( it may also be done by consuming milk, tea, sweet, etc) or it may also be done by having lunch or dinner. But it must be remembered that the vrat must not be done by not eating anything.

7. If possible one must go to Sai Baba temple and if it is not possible then Sai Baba must be worshipped at home only with complete devotion.

8. This vrat can be continued even if one is out of his/her own town.

9. During this vrat if women are going through menses or if by any reason one Thursday is missed, then that Thursday must not be taken into consideration for 9 Thursdays. Another Thursday must be taken into consideration and then concluding ceremony must be perfomed.

im keeping sai fats and i am finished with my 8th fast, now on the day of 9th thursday, udyapan day, do i have to keep fastwhen i feed people or that day should i open my fast.

I have been observing the vrat for the last 2 thursdays. I am currently on my menstrul cycle. What should I do at this time. Do I continue the fast and pooja? Please advise me. Thank you.

When you are in menstrual cycle you do not do the vrat .You start counting your week after getting over with the menstrual cycle. So next vrat after the mensus cycle will be your 3rd vrat and so on till you complete your full vrat . If there are any further doubt you can mail and ask .

Om Sai Ram, I kept 9 Sai Baba Thursday Vrat with a wish in my mind but my wish did not fulfilled. Shud I do the concluding ceremony of the vrat ???? Or start a fresh again for 9 Thursday vrat. Please help me out.

Yes please conclude the vrat as mentioned in Sai vrat book and if you wish to start again than you can start fresh .Vrat is always driven by desire of a devotee but Baba is not bound by vrat rituals ,Baba knows what is best for the devotees and would accordingly bless him/her what HE thinks will be good for them not what children think is good for them ,

om sai ram..i hav started sai vrat today can u please tell me why should we use yellow cloth and yellow flowers only any particular reason , and i started pooja after having tea, and later took milk can i hav fruit juices the whole day without having food please suggest

You can have fruits,juice,tea,nuts or even one time full meal . It is all your choice and how your health permits . So do not worry on this aspect.

Regarding yellow colour ,it is auspicious colour in hindu religion and the significant colour of auspiciousness during pooja ,yellow colour is also associated with Guru and Sai Baba is our Guru.Hence yellow colour has its importance. Hope this would help you understand the significance of Yellow colour .

Manisha ji...agar thursday ko menses ka fourth day ho to fast nav guruvar men include hoge ki nahi...aur agar thursday sham ko vrat vale din menses aa jae to vo vrat include hoga ki nahi..please tell me

As per to the vrat book ,any lady having her menstrual cycle on the day of Vrat should not count the day as day of vrat and should keep her vrat the coming Thursday . Whether you had it in the morning or evening ,leave that day and include another day as your vrat day .I hope I am clear if any doubt please write back .Jai Sai Ram

i started thurshday today... but i am a student and living in hostel.... but food i getting is with onions and garlic... my mammy told that no prpblem by taking that food... but some of my friends told that not to take that food.... can u tell sir what kind of food must be taken.....

The vrat is to be done only once not two time. As per to your ease you can do it .Baba never went by rituals or strict rules. He encouraged true feeling and sincere devotion . So you can do anytime .Do not do two time.

As per to another devotee's query,you can eat food with onion and garlic.As written above Baba never gave importance to any rituals or procedure. He only looked for devotee's sincere devotion or love.

Hi,

I have completed 9th thursday vrath today. Temple is very far for me in California. Is it okay if I email the 9thursdays vrath book through email to 5 people? Also in US there are no poor people to feed, so should I save that money and feed the poor people when I come to India next time?

Please advise.

You can do what your heart guides you to do . You can e-mail to your Sai friends,save money and feed the poor or you can donate the money to some organisation in US who are taking care of poor and needy . There is no hard and fast rule .If you have any more doubt you can write here .

I have begun the 9 thursday vrat today. I began the vrat on an empty stomach,after completion of prayers I had fruit and tea. Is that ok or should I eat and then do the puja?

Also I need to know exactly what to do,

I read the 108 names,then I read the stories I also read the aarati.

After that what am I supposed to do?

After puja I am supposed to give the fruits and sweets to people in my home?

If they eat the prasad,do they have to eat vegetarian that day?
