Jaigurudev everyone!
At a follow up 2 weeks back, a volunteer shared about water restoration projects that farmers in Latur district (of Maharashtra) & Art of Living volunteers had started 2 years back, to cope up with water scarcity problems faced by people there (as he mentioned, in some places water used to come once in 8 days!!).
The attached presentation is self-explanatory. And as shared by the volunteer Arnab Chakraborty, each project costs b/w 10 - 40 Lakh Rupees. So, please have a look at the presentation and if possible, help in any of the following avenues:
- Raising money for projects; be it in individual capacity or as a CSR initiative from companies
- Media outreach (specifically English; there has been good coverage by Marathi newspapers)
- Share with students (specially from Management schools) or people working in Agriculture / Water restoration sectors: Shall be a good practical case study / technical learning avenue for them
- Share with people who might be able to help in the cause
Please share any ideas that you may have :)
I'm copying Arnab bhaiya too, who shared with us about the initiative.
Jgd!
Vaibhav Kathuria.
