Subject: Laidlaw Audubon Preserve trail work day this Saturday

This is another reminder about our work day at Audubon's Laidlaw Preserve near Vernon this Saturday. A portion of one trail that was damaged by Hurricane Michael has not been completely cleared, so we will be working on that. Neil Lamb will be leading this trip. We need people to bring hand tools, small chainsaws, clippers and loppers. We plan to work about 3 hours so bring a sack lunch, plenty to drink and be sure to bring insect repellent to ward off chiggers. If you know where the entrance gate is on Hwy 79 (about 6 miles north of Vernon), meet us there at 9:00am this Saturday and we will drive a short way to the preserve. If you would like to follow us from Lynn Haven, meet us at Porter Park right by the bridge over North Bay. We will be near the restrooms toward the back. Be there before 8:15. We will leave at that time. If you are coming from the beach and would like to drive there up Hwy 79, email me or call me at 850-774-9733 and we can meet you in Vernon at the park on the other side of Holmes Creek. on Hwy 79.  ronho...@gmail.com
Thanks, Ron
