Hi,

we are new to VoltDb, and didnt find anything in the docs. So here the question: VoltDB using SQL to store data, which is fine.

However, from a productivity point of view, is anyone using a thin, superfast ORM layer/wrapper for  (NOT hibernate) storing java object in VoltDB.

We want something that adds productivity without removing performance ? Perhaps jooQ ?

Any experience would be appreciated
Frank

Hi Frank,

we did some exploratory work with jOOQ and were able to demonstrate simple procedural bindings. The work only scratched the surface, but I do see a lot of potential in adding support for Volt in jOOQ. One of the more natural fitting mapping frameworks for VoltDB is mybatis which has excellent store procedure support and object mapping translations from jdbc result set. All the above though are unable to leverage VoltDB ability to perform asynchronous invocations, for that we would need to write a spring data adatpter

Ciao
Stefano
