What is the Lighthouse Labs Web Development Bootcamp?

Lighthouse Labs’ Web Development Bootcamp is an 8 week long intensive course that takes people from various technical backgrounds to a professional-level web developer.

How much programming experience do I need?

Although having some experience is an asset, no specific technical background is required. 

How does this prepare me for finding work as a dev? 

The Web Development Bootcamp is designed around the approach that 80% of training will be learned on the job. As full time students, you will learn the practical skills that will become transferable to the developer’s workplace.

The focus is to get you work ready. 95% of graduates find employment within the first 90 days. We will help you locate employment upon graduation, and also host a demo day for you to showcase your skills to potential employers. 

Can costs be subsidized?

There are quite a few options available for you to finance your tuition. There are scholarships and bursaries available for bootcamp students through programs such as the Canada Job Grant or Nova Scotia Workplace Innovation and Productivity Skills Incentive.
