Skill Required with Amount of Experience:-

We are seeking a Mid-Level SQL Server Migration DBA to assist with planning, executing, and validating database migrations. This role requires hands-on experience in SQL Server administration and migration tools across multiple versions and platforms. This is a full-time contract opportunity and will be hybrid onsite in Trenton, NJ.

Required

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server administration and support (versions 2012 through latest)
• Familiarity with SQL Server migration processes and tools (e.g., Data Migration Assistant, backup/restore, always on, or log shipping)
• Proficiency in T-SQL and scripting for automation
• Working knowledge of SQL Server features like jobs, indexes, users/roles, and performance plans
• Experience supporting on-premises and/or hybrid environments
• Strong understanding of SQL Server tools: SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Profiler
• Hands-on experience with database migration tools and techniques
• Experience with cloud-based migration (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS for SQL Server)
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Good communication and documentation capabilities
• Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented setting
• Ability to follow directions while also taking initiative when needed
