Message:	In June 2013, a multi-day cloudburst in Uttarakhand caused devastating floods and landslides in the country's worst natural disaster since the 2004 Tsunami. The fury of nature in this Himalayan state has been so devastating and deadly that forceful floodwaters washed away everything that came its way – revered ancient shrines, homes, apartment buildings, vehicles and people. The state government sources estimate the loss of life to be more than 10,000. Over 70,000 people have been stranded.     In an effort to help the victims, Sewa International has pledged to raise $50,000 from Bay area communities. All proceeds from this benefit dinner contribute towards Sewa's goal, 100% of which will be sent to rehabilitation and relief efforts in Uttarakhand.     Please join us in this noble cause and help those affected by floods, garner their life again.     (link)
