Hello Volley users,

This is just a note to let you know that Volley development is moving from the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) to GitHub at https://github.com/google/volley. This is a more natural fit as Volley is not a core part of the Android platform and stands to benefit from having a standalone project home, issue tracker and build infrastructure.

If you are depending on com.android.volley:volley via Maven/Gradle, there should be no change to your workflow. Future releases of this artifact will come from GitHub. Please use GitHub's issue tracker to report issues and continue to use this mailing list for any discussions.

Volley is a stable library and this change does not imply that large feature development is ahead. However, we do intend to continue making bug fixes and will gladly accept pull requests along those lines. Please propose any non-trivial changes either on this list or by opening a new issue on GitHub. As with any Google open-source project, you will need to first sign a CLA before your contributions can be accepted.

No new changes may be made directly to the AOSP copy in frameworks/volley, which is now read-only. If you had a pending change, please feel free to resubmit it as a GitHub pull request, but consider reporting an issue or discussing here first if it has not been reviewed yet.

Thanks,
Jeff
