Hi Volley users,

Volley version 1.1.0-rc1 has been pushed to JCenter/Bintray. The .aar and source distributions are also available on GitHub. This is a release candidate build intended for early adopters.

Highlights in this release include new APIs that allow Volley to be used without Apache HTTP and support for reading multiple headers from HTTP responses with the same name (i.e. for SetCookie headers), along with numerous bug fixes. Please see GitHub for detailed release notes.

There should be no need to change existing client code when upgrading to the new version (though doing so may be necessary to fully migrate away from Apache HTTP if desired).

Please report any issues you find.

A special thanks goes to the numerous external contributors to the Volley codebase for this release.

Thanks,
Jeff

I've just pushed 1.1.0-rc2. This is identical to 1.1.0-rc1 plus another memory leak fix.

1.1.0-rc2 has been promoted to 1.1.0 with no functional changes and is available in Bintray and on Github. This release is considered generally suitable for production use.
