Concert week is upon us! Looking forward to a great trip this weekend!

Here's your Jimmy Buffett Volcano Express Bus Trip info & pick-up times...........

Pick-up Points: We have approximate Pick-up times listed & posted them to the website front page. Ignore wristband rules to get on buses. We’ll pass them out at rest area.

 –Madison: Pick-up time 11:30am. Formally Charley’ & Damon’s east. 4325 Lein Rd. 53704.

-Middleton: Pick-up Time 12:00pm. Greenway Station near Cheeseburger in Paradise. 1601 Aspen Commons. Look   for a large wooden structure to the right of Cheeseburger. Looks like a bus stop. Park & get bus there.

-West Allis: NO pick-up. Painted Parrot Bar. 8028 West National Ave. Park across street. Watch for bus.

-Milwaukee: NO pick-up. Lake Express Ferry Boat stop. 2330 S. Lincoln Memorial Dr. Park where you’re allowed and watch for bus.

-Lake Geneva: Pick-up between 1:30pm and 1:50pm. The Cove. 111 Center St. (262-249-9460). Hemingway’s Port of Call. N3270 County Hwy H. (262-348-1200).

-Beloit: Pick-up time around 12:45pm

-Rockford: Pick-up 12:20pm or so. Rockford Clock Tower Inn. 7801 E. State St. Use East side parking out front and watch for the bus to show up.

Janesville: Pick-ups at 1:15pm- 1:30pm. Ramada Inn, (formerly Best Western/Best Value). 3900 Milton Ave. Park in back of the hotel. Buses should pull in behind hotel as well. Be looking to see if they pull up front by mistake. There may be a parking fee for Saturday. PLEASE, no visually obvious open alcohol in hotel parking lot. We’ll have a DJ, but legally we can’t have alcohol visible. So hide it well…..

-Other: Residence Inn Rockford. Pick-up time 12pm-12-15pm. 7542 Colosseum Dr.

Again, pick-up times are approximate. Make sure you’re early!!!

I will hand out envelopes with tickets/wristbands at the rest area where buses meet, near Alpine.

Weekend Schedule & info:

Shuttle Bus Friday: This shuttle was cancelled for having zero reservations. Sorry!!

Saturday pre-tailgater at Ramada Janesville: We’ll have a DJ available from 11am to 1pm in hotel parking lot behind the hotel. Please keep open alcohol hidden from view or the hotel has a big problem!

Buses: All buses will meet at rest area on I-43 North, near Alpine. If you miss your pick-up, you can drive to meet us at this location. We try to leave the rest area by 3pm sharp. Remember, we are not responsible if you miss your bus! You will not get a refund!  Drivers have my cell phone number on their directions list. I will be very busy talking to drivers and others on Saturday. If it’s an emergency, have the driver call me. If you forget your wristbands, you will be required to purchase (cash) new ones ($60  for bus & another $50 for food & Bev). You can always get the money back later if we confirm you sent in your old ones to our office.

Getting on buses: Each bus will have a sign-up sheet held by driver. Sign-up yourself & members of your party to available seats on the list. Only 55 people per bus, no exceptions! This list is used at the end of the night to see if everyone is back on board. When everyone’s back, the bus can leave. Be back on bus before midnight, or walk home! We want people back to the buses immediately after the concert. The sooner buses are full, the sooner they can leave. Please tip drivers!

If Buses get separated: We try to make sure buses are parked next to each other with our rental truck. However, if they get separated, we will contact the driver(s) via CB to inform passengers of where to go, or if we’ll have someone come get them.

Wristbands: You will have a VOLCANOEXPRESS.COM Wristband. Those who get food & beverage will see an extra style of wristband with your order. You will need both!! Those who ordered food & beverages, your extra wristband will have a perforated tab. Don’t lose this tab. It is to show you need your first pass on food. You’ll get choice of one (burger or brat) on first pass. Seconds will be called after we’re sure everyone had their first pass. This is another reason we use the Tabs on the extra wristband. If it comes loose, put it in your pocket and present it to our workers on your first pass. Giving or selling our food &/or beverage will result in you WALKING HOME!!! WE ARE VERY SERIOUS ABOUT THIS! People have been kicked off the buses before!

Tailgater at Alpine: When we arrive at Alpine’s parking lot, our workers will be setting up the catering & entertainment areas. Please, do not set up chairs or blankets until we are finished setting up. Otherwise, choose an area far away so we may get set-up completed. It takes 30-45 minutes to complete set-up and start serving beverages. We serve food within 40 minutes after that.

Complaints: We take our trip seriously. Those who want to have fun, will have fun. Those looking to complain, had a problem to begin with. Don’t bring down our other guests with whining or annoying behavior. Be polite! We want to take care of everyone with good, safe, quality food & services. However, if you are not satisfied with the trip, you are free to contact our office anytime after the end of the weekend. Mail, email, and by phone are acceptable. If you need help during the event, just ask any of our workers. Rob Dyson will be on hand to supervise the event. Those who don’t like the trip can use our complaint process after the weekend and provide us with helpful hints as to how to serve you better in the future. You can also refuse to go on the trip in the future; your choice! As always…. LEAVE YOUR POLITICS AT HOME!!!. Buffett music crosses all political lines. That means we’ll have Lefties, Right-wingers, centrists, libertarians, wiccans, you name it, on this trip. So, keep your politics & religion at home. This trip is about having fun & celebrating Jimmy coming back to Wisconsin. Everyone has a better time if these rules are followed.

2014 bus trip: Our website will be revamped for 2014.: We will have updated information & prices for next year available sometime in November-December 2013. Most times, the concert is announced between Feb 1st & March 31st. We post the date when we get our inside confirmation from the Coral Reefers. Be aware, we will have Christmas packages for sale this year. You can purchase a Gift Card Package to give as a gift to your friends & family. If the concert ends up being on an unusable date, you can transfer it to someone else, or get a full refund. YOU CAN”T LOSE! We’ll try to have the website ready before Thanks Giving.
