Skype vs Gizmo

Hello,

I am relatively new to the VoIP technology so pardon if I ask stupid
questions. I am researching VoIP options and the technology to
implement on a new web platform for language instruction.

We have spoken with many experts and found skype to be the best
option. However, what is exactly the difference between Skype and
something like Project Gizmo?

Any info or articles you can send are more then welcome.
