PADI has a cross over book package. You also purchase the digital IDC package and you also can choose to do a crossover to EFR. Then you also need the EFRI package. This is definitely recommended because it makes it easier to offer and provide Rescue courses.

So choose the Cross over to PADI program and sign up. You can follow this program in Sharm el Sheikh or in the Netherlands. There are various dates and Chris is happy to help you plan. You can first do the EFRI Cross0ver. Click

If you would you like to do an SSI Instructor crossover course then one popular path for aspiring dive professionals is to complete the PADI Instructor Development Course, and then do your SSI crossover course after. Completing the PADI IDC provides divers with a strong foundation in teaching methodologies and dive leadership skills. However, engaging in the SSI crossover course after the PADI IDC introduces divers to a different training philosophy and approach. SSI emphasizes a holistic approach to diving education, focusing on comfort, safety, and environmental awareness. By undergoing the SSI crossover course after the PADI IDC, divers gain valuable insights into alternative teaching methods, which can enhance their instructional abilities and adaptability when working with a diverse range of students.

The SSI Instructor crossover course offers divers the opportunity to learn new techniques and gain additional certifications beyond their existing PADI qualifications. This expansion of knowledge and skill set allows them to become more versatile and well-rounded dive professionals. For instance, SSI offers specialized courses such as Extended Range Diving, Technical Diving, and Freediving, enabling divers to explore new realms of underwater adventure and cater to a wider range of diver interests.

Engaging in the SSI crossover course after the PADI IDC exposes divers to a new community of dive professionals and enthusiasts. This presents an excellent opportunity to expand their network and forge connections with individuals from different backgrounds and experiences. Building relationships within the dive industry can open doors for collaborations, employment opportunities, and mentorship, providing valuable guidance as divers progress in their careers.

The SSI crossover course after the PADI IDC offers an opportunity for divers to refine their teaching and instructional skills. While the PADI IDC lays a strong foundation in this regard, the SSI crossover course exposes divers to a different pedagogical approach. By incorporating the best practices from both organizations, divers can refine their teaching techniques, adapt to various student learning styles, and become more effective instructors overall.

The SSI Crossover course takes 3 to 5 days. Day 1 is in the classroom, familiarizing you with SSI products, SSI philosophy and the SSI approach to teaching and the SCUBA industry. There are some exams, but you will have access to most of the answers in your instructor materials. Day 2 is in the pool, where we show you demonstrations of any scuba skills that are taught differently to your existing agency, then you get a chance to practice until you are comfortable. On day 3, you will assist an SSI Open Water Course with one of our senior instructors, listen to their academic presentations, and observe the pool session. You then have the option to continue until the end of the Open Water Course and observe the full program including the open water dives.
