For the time being I have removed it. I'm waiting to get feedback from the beta testers to determine how important it is overall.
Here's why I want to remove it: My app was NEVER meant to be an SMS client, and as such I didn't implement it as it should be implemented. The most important component is PUSH NOTIFICATIONS, which requires backend support of some description. I also don't wish to step on the toes of fellow developer Michael Kourlas, who wrote the excellent "VoIP.ms SMS" app for Android. I have been using his app for SMS for the better part of 10 years.
However, if there seems to be a large base of support for an SMS client in my app, then I will certainly look into providing it.
P.S. Could you please repost your question in the support group (
https://groups.google.com/g/voipms-console-beta-test), and then I'll repost this message as a reply. That way this information is available to everyone. Thanks.
