New APK

Attached to this message is a link to the new APK for VoIP.ms Console. Since it couldn't have the same signature as the Play Store copy, you'll have to uninstall your old one and SIDELOAD this one. By default your previous copy of the app has been making automatic backups, which will be located in the folder:

/Download/VoIP.ms Console/backups

The auto backups will start with the word "AUTO" followed by the date and time it was created. Manual backups (those you made yourself) will be similar, but with JUST the date and time as the file name.

You SHOULD NOT check the "Replace Filter Actions" or "Replace Presets" options, as they are stored in your VoIP.ms account. These options are only meant for for fixing corrupted Filter Actions or Presets.

Because this version has NO ACCESS to any subscriptions you may have purchased from the Play Store, I've been forced to make this a completely free app with all features available to everyone.

This build has an expiry date of Oct 1st, 2026, because at this time I'm not sure of the app's immediate future. I've been approached by VoIP.ms, but as yet do not know what they might have in mind.

Sorry about your google experience but thanks for continuing to make this great app available.  Somehow, I was able to just install the new app and it treated it as an upgrade - so I didn't have to do any restoration.

It had been making automatic backups, but I figured that I would take a try at just installing the new version without uninstalling the old one.  That worked and the new version had all of my settings - thus there was no reason to restore from a backup.  Sorry if I wasn't clear.

is it normal that I still receive update notifications from Google Play for the application, even though everything was supposed to be stopped? Has there been a change?

Yes, Google Play has a policy that once a user downloads an app they will always have access to it on the play store. The update that you received the notification about was one that I was able to upload yesterday that finally fixed the problem of the expiration date for everyone that hadn't yet contacted me or been on the support group. In the opening "what's new" screen for that version the current situation is explained and I tell everyone to go to the support group. I'm hoping that this will help move everyone over to there while the future of the app is decided. I am of course hoping that VoIP.ms will distribute the app directly, but if that doesn't happen I plan to put it on F-Droid.

I keep getting messages that contain ONLY a signature (with a section labeled "SIP TRUNKS - LIVE ROUTES") but it contains no actual message. This is the fourth of fifth such message that's shown up here in the group. Whomever is sending these, are you forgetting something, or is the text of your message hidden somewhere I'm not seeing?
