Dear members, 

Following is the wake and Funeral information of Dr. Nitha (Chachikutty) Kunnumpurath.

Wake: Scared Heart Knanaya Catholic Church, Maywood on Wednesday 11/11/2020 from 3 PM to 9 PM.

Funeral: Scared Heart Knanaya Catholic Church, Maywood on  Thursday 11/12/2020 at 9 AM, followed by burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetry, Hillside. Il.

Funeral service is limited to family members.

Wake and Funeral services will be live casted through KVTV.

Chicago KCS extends our heartfelt condolences and prayers to near and dear ones of Dr. Nitha Kunnumpurath.

May her soul rest in peace. RIP.

I am also providing the update from Funeral committee of Sacred Heart Knanaya Catholic Church regarding the arrangements. Please follow these guidelines strictly.

Dear all, 

As we are preparing to see our sister/daughter/friend Nitha one last time and to bid farewell to her, the responsibility rests with each one of us to strictly adhere the COVID-19 protocols and guidelines.  The family and the church officials would like to request your full cooperation in making this a prayerful and memorable service that Nitha would be proud of. Respecting all of your wishes to show your love for Nitha, please always follow the below guidelines.

Wake Service: Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 3 pm to 9 pm.

1. Refrain from coming if you have any flu like symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with flu like symptoms or have been recently exposed to anyone with COVID-19 and you have not been tested,

2. Please make use of the early hours of the wake service which may be less crowded,

3. FACE MASK (COVERING) MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES,

4. Volunteers will check your temperature at the entrance,

5. Must register your name and phone number along with your arrival time,

6. Must use hand sanitizer prior to entering the church.

7. Follow the direction of the volunteers and security personal to view and pray

8. We ask that you not touch Nitha’s casket or body,

9. The family requests your prayers and understands that you share in their grievance, but physical contact (shaking hands, hugs, kisses, etc.) is strictly prohibited.

10. We ask that you leave the church immediately after you had the opportunity to pray and say goodbye to Nitha, limiting a maximum of 10 minutes,

11. Congregating or socializing in the hallway or the parish hall will not be allowed.

Funeral Service: Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 9 am.

At the Family’s request, the funeral service will be restricted to family only due to safety concerns. Please respect their wishes and seek your full cooperation in making this a “FAMILY ONLY” event.

Both Wake and Funeral service will be live-streamed on KVTV and we encourage you to participate in the service from the comfort of your on homes.
