The 2001 Citizen Sponsored SB 1151, was another failed attempt to
replace Idaho's Forced Annexation Law with Voting Rights. This attempt
was again defeated by lobbyists & political insiders representing
interests of Realtors, Developers, Contractors, IACI, and Associations
of Idaho Cities & Counties.
Forced Annexation is 'the other' Developer's Discount, they currently
evade paying the IMPACT FEES all other States charge out of fairness to
taxpayers.
Idaho's taxpayers are forced to subsidize the costly
infrastructures, schools & services for these private ventures through
their Property Tax bills, saving developers a tremendous amount of up-front
money.
