Hi all,

Below is a link to the highly contested Proposition 2 Bill. There's a great deal of controversy over it, critics state it will damage a City's ability to grow & prosper.

I personally hate to see any more laws on the book, however Idaho's Growth, Area of Impact and Forced Annexation Laws have devastated County residents of their Property & Voting Rights and placed those rights into the hands of Developers.

 

Growth is a good thing, but only if it pays it's own way through appropriate Impact Fees. Under current Idaho Annexation law, taxpayers are forced to subsidize the costly infrastructures for Developer's developments.

 

Opponents of Proposition 2 are the very same folks who have lobbied against all citizen sponsored Annexation Reform Bills presented since 2000. These Bills would have simply replaced Idaho's Forced Growth Laws, with Voting & Property Rights for those effected.
