Is the Voice Choice App (and this Google Group) still being maintained?

This is a really useful app but it looks like development has been abandoned...  There have been no app updates since May 2016 and no recent posts to this forum.

Correct, this group doesn't get used much anymore. I think Google Groups is being done away with in general. We also have a Voice Choice Beta group on Google Plus here.

I'm doing my best to support the app, especially fixing critical issues affecting large groups of people(sorry, can't help every person on every custom ROM, etc.). New feature requests are prioritized according to demand and balanced with my real life schedule (job, family, etc.)

So, what's up?

I'm very glad that Voice Choice has not been abandoned - especially since the updated Google Voice app no longer provides the 'Toggle Shortcut'.  

It looks like there is indeed more action in the Gooble+ Voice Choice community group (thx for pointing it out!).

I just have a couple quick questions for you:

1. Is there currently a relatively stable Voice Choice 2.0 'Beta' version in development? (or is the current Play Store the only release channel at this time?)
2. Is the current VC v2.3.0 working properly with the latest major Google Voice v5.0.x app update? (I've got several phones that still need updating and would love to know if VC is compatible),
3. Are you planning a Play Store update/release in the near future?

I'm just following.   I was an early Android adopter, but eventually (reluctantly) switched to iPhone.   I'm ready to switch back, and I hope to make Voice Choice a part of that change!

We're using Nexus 4 and Pixel phones with latest Google Voice.

Voice Choice (from Play Store) seems to be working fine.

I set to use Google Voice on every call, in Voice Choice I have a list of phones to call directly.

Thanks for the compatibility info Vladimir!  Good to know all is well with VC on stock Android.  I'll go ahead and make the upgrades (and report back if I experience any issues). -JT :)

Confirming to anyone inquiring that Voice Choice 2.0 is working without issue with the latest Google Voice 5.0.x update from google on (relatively stock) Android 6 & 7 versions. :)

The latest version of Google voice seems to have broken voice choice 2.0. Any update on a fix or version we can downgrade to?
