Voice Choice Doesn't Call Any Numbers with Google Voice

I loaded all of my contacts into the Direct Call List in Voice Choice so that I will be using Google Voice only for numbers not in my contact list, but the calls are NEVER routed through Google Voice.  

I didn't even realize this for at least a month.  I thought that Voice Choice was keeping my cell phone number private from the people I was calling.  In fact, my cell phone number was being exposed and revealed to people I wanted to keep it private from.

I've tried everything I can think of to make it work properly.  Any ideas or troubleshooting I can do?  I'm using an HTC EVO.

I'm guessing you've already tried this, but the most common problem is not having Google Voice set to "use google voice to make all calls" (within the settings in Google Voice NOT from within Voice choice).

I don't understand the inner-workings of Voice Choice but it is my impression that it cannot turn on Google Voice.  Depending on how you have your call list set-up it can simply opt out of using Google Voice with certain numbers (either those on your list, or those not on your list). 

That's all I got.

No Carl, I didn't have it set up that way.  I had wondered about that but didn't see any documentation indicating that was a required setting.  Thank you for the tip!

Is this setting in under Settings "in the android app on my Evo" OR under Setting "on the Google Voice" website?

Ah, the setting is "in the GV Android app".

I just realized that I have "Sprint Google Voice integration" turned on.

When I turned it off on the Google Voice website, I found the setting in the GV Android app.

I am getting ready to switch from www.Sprint.com to www.Ting.com.

Ting.com does not have Google Voice Integration like Sprint does.

So, I was looking for a solution that allows me to call from my cell, BUT shows my Google Voice # on the caller id at the other end of the call.
