Google policy denying apps to phone numbers 3/2019

I heard that google is going to restrict apps from accessing call logs, SMS and phone numbers starting March 2019. See link.

Will this affect voicechoice? If so I want to disable auto updates so I can keep its functionality.

It looks the app was removed from the Play Store.  Is there plans to correct the issue?  Maybe release it in another app store?  Or post the APK somewhere?
