What exactly does the macro do? If you hold the F2 key when doing it manually then you actually may need two commands

Reverse Thrust (On)
Press Key(s) F2

Stop Reverse Thrust
Release Key(s) F2

It might help if you exported your profile and attached it to an email to the group.

Hope this helps - Jerry

Hi Guys

Am very new to this wonderful exciting programme and am making some good progress with my flight profile.  The problem I have is that I cannot seem to have Voiceattack activate the "Reverse Thrust" correctly in FSX.  The usual way to do this is to press and Hold down ther F2 key, so I have tried doing this with Voice attack to no avail.  I have made a command called reverse thrust that is activating but it is not correctly functioning the software.  Anyone got any idea's on this one?   I am loving this software as it makes my flying expierience much easier.

TIA Bill

HI thanks for the reply.  IN FSX the F2 key is assigned as "Reduce Throttle Quickly" so when it is held it invokes Reverse Thrust and opens the panels on the engines as in a real aircraft.  I have managed to replicate this using a key on my joystick setting it up in the key assignments in FSX.  In order to do that I had to also set the slider to the right of the control fully right which I assume multiplys or quickens the action.  Now when I use VoiceAttack and replicate the F2 key with a voice command it seems to try to set the reverse thrust but does not open the engine panels to  enable it.  It has to be to do with this slider in the FSX control assignment screen and wonder if the author of Voice Attack can maybe replicate this slider action also in his software?

Incidentally Voice Attack works extremely well for me with FSX in all other respects and I am having a ball with it.

Thanks Bill

Hi, guys.  Sorry about that... I've been out of town for the last week or so with limited access to email and internet.

Thanks again, Jerry, for helping out.  You are a real blessing :)

Bill...  the slider you are talking about... is it on your joystick?  If so, I do not have a way to control that :(

Again, sorry for the late reply!

Gary

PS -  Glad to hear you are enjoying VoiceAttack otherwise :)

Hi Gary

First off lets say thnaks for an excellent piece of software its making my Flight Simulator expierience much better.

Yes the reverse thrust is the only thing that I have been unable to replicate.  I have attached a picture showing the screen in FSX to assign the Reverse Thrust to the F2 key.  Now when I hold this key on the keyboard the reverse thrust activates, so then I set a button on my joystick I had to use the slider to the right and set it fullr right before my joysyick button would correctly function the reverse thrust.  Now the ideal is to voice control the reverse thrust upon landing and this is whjat I have been unable to do in Voice Attack.  I assume the slider is some sort of multiplyer or whatever and thats why I thought you might be able to implement it into your software.

Hope that helps

Cheers Bill (UK)

Hi, Bill.

Have you tried adding any kind of delay to the key press?  It would look something like this :

Press F2 down
Pause 0.5 seconds
Release F2

You would need to play with the pause value to increase/decrease the amount of time the key is held down.  Wondering if the key press is happening too quickly.

Let me know if that helps at all :)
