How do I use Bindings for Voice Attack and use my Game pad ?

Okay, instructions about key bindings for Voice Attack to work in game I have to hand over control to Default Bindings.

But I can then no longer use Game pad to control the ship.

How do I use Voice Commands for Elite and my Game pad at the same time ?

Of course you can... not sure what you mean by "hand over control to Default Bindings"?!

There's is nothing particularly complicated in setting VA to work with Elite; just make sure your keyboard presses are set in DirectX mode (in the proper VA window, when asked) and you are good to go, with no interference with gamepad/joystick that I know of.

well on the other board it says:

In order to use the voice pack, you must copy the appropriate Keybindings file from the HCS folder:

C:\Program Files (x86)\VoiceAttack\Sounds\hcspack\profiles\Binds

and select the appropriate keybindings (go into the folder and select the actual keybinding file, rather than copying the folders) and copy-paste it into the Elite: Dangerous folder:

C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Bindings

Now when you load up the game, go to Options>Controls  and select the drop-down list at the top. You should find the keybindings in there!

 

So thats the problem, I change controls the the bindings and loose pad control.

This is because you are using some pre-made profile for some additional voice pack (by some 3rd party, not a requirement for VA to work, nor officially supported)... the problem here is that those instructions are making you overwrite the Elite Dangerous keybindings with some other bindings made by the author of the voice pack; it's not a problem directly related to VA, it's simply that now you are using a different set of command for Elite, and you need to remap you pad/joystick accordingly
