News on support and development for the (hopefully) short-term

Hi, guys.

Just wanted to give you all a heads-up on what to expect from support (me) over the next several weeks (possibly six weeks).  As some of you have known, I've been going through a crazy

medical crisis that goes ALL the way back to the summer of 2014.  So far, I've been able to keep up with supporting VoiceAttack somewhat, both in this venue 

and through sup...@voiceattack.com.  I've also tried to keep the updates rolling and interesting (although not to the degree that I would like).  Recently, I've been given 

some rather promising news regarding my, 'condition', however, my doctors have decided that there needs to be one last, aggressive push to try to finish off what 

I've got going on (I'm looking good, they just need the second hit from a 1-2 punch).  I've already passed week one, and it was not easy at all (holy cow).  My thoughts 

are that it's not going to be any easier going forward (most likely harder), and that is the reason for this note.  I am probably *not* going to be available, and if available, only for the most critical of 

issues (can't get registration keys, "how do I register?", "lawnmower won't start and I'm certain it's VoiceAttack", etc).  For those, it will probably be my son helping 

out (the other, 'Gary').  Hopefully, I will be in here more than I'm not.  If not, I apologize in advance!

Once all of this is all done, I'm looking forward to a much-improved 2016 for VoiceAttack.  A very deeply-felt thank you to all those that pitch in to help out.  You've been helping in ways

that you have no idea.  Seriously... thank you :)

We as a community here LOVE your program and all of the time, patience and energy you pour into it. You only need to look at all of our requests to reassure yourself of this. Many of us are here for you, offer our encouragement and support, along with a list of demands and requests that we want *yesterday*. For voiceattack users, you and your product have become an integral part of our gaming experience. we look forward to new betas, features and releases. we advocate passionately for features we want. Concentrate on yourself and your health. Rest assured, if it comes down to it, we can have an emergency kickstrater ready to come to your aid if need be. 

I'm sure you've received many letters of thanks for your program, and acknowledgements of how it's made not only a gaming experience better, but has helped many a disabled person able to use a computer and/or play a video game that they may not otherwise be able to play. That type of accomplishment does not go unnoticed. You could stop all development tomorrow, and voiceattack would still be used several years from now. It is as loved as a AAA MMO title and the features are discussed and debated in much the same way. We thank you for keeping us up to date on development status, but we're more concerned that you get and stay healthy - we want to see the profile revamp no later than mid-Febuary, (preferably BEFORE Valentine's Day!). 

Keep your spirits up, your family of voicattack users will be behind you every step of the way - we'll be complaining, groaning, whining, begging, trying to find ways to speed up feature rollout, and debating various new features and ideas, but waiting patiently and wishing you the best of health all the same.

hmm...... "profile system revamp in beta by mid-Febuary" - put that at the top of your voicattack to-do list, and i'm positive that your health will improve - i was told that by my psychic! XD

Gary, take care of yourself mate, that is number one, we can wait for anything software related,   YOU are more important brother.   Wish you will and a speedy recovery, God know's I've been through shit too, as we all have, so take care of number one... you.. and don't worry about a thing.  There are enough competent people here who can help field some support questions and help as best we can with questions here.   Take a long deserved break my friend.. be well, stress free, and get better.

Is VoiceAttack still supporting A.N.N.A. in Star Citizen ?.......I've been away for some time !!

I'm past the trial period, got a registration key but when I try to register, I get "Unable to contact server......" I have AVG, any suggestions there?

I hope with the updates that have happened to VA that this issue has successfully been resolved and Gary 2.0 has been released without a hitch?  Been waiting for a resolution to this topic suppose I could have commented earlier.. probably not the only one like that.. Get well soon if you haven't already and release a fix for this issue please.
