Voice Attack will not start with Windows 10.

Any idea what the problem is?

What I should have said is, Voice Attack will not Launch with Windows Start.

I can confirm this, VoiceAttack does not start automatically even though the box has been checked since install. I tried unchecking and rechecking, but it didn't help. I had to add it to my start script for it to launch on startup. Launching it manually also works, but that was getting annoying ;)

I'm usually not a fan of, 'works on my machine', but, it works on my machine ;)   (I'm using Windows 10 Pro 64 bit)  I can only guess it's probably due to some rights issues on your computers, or, there may be something going on when the value is written to the registry.  Are any errors appearing when you change this option?

With that option, it's totally registry driven.  You can look in your registry to see if it's been written :

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

See if VoiceAttack.exe is in there. If so, it's probably a rights issue regarding the launching of files.  If not, it's a rights issue (can't write to the registry).  Does the option stay checked when you open up the options screen?

I put the Voice Attack shortcut in the Start up folder and that worked, but not being satisfied with that I checked the registry and found no entry for Voice Attack so I opened the Voice Attack options and checked the Launch with Windows Start and it immediately appeared in the registry. After that, I took the Voice Attack shortcut out of the Start up folder rebooted and it worked!
