Good afternoon.
I love VA, bought it for my Elite: Dangerous, and now I'm looking to put it to use in other areas of the home.
I'm a bit different from most people in that I have a PC in almost every room.
The master bedroom has a 23" HP All in One touchscreen that we run Kodi on. It's a relatively low power device, so it is on all the time.
I have similar systems in the kitchen/dining area for recipe lookup and in the basement living area for audio/video while working out.
I'd like to use Voice Attack on these systems to interface with my SmartThings enabled home.
Currently, many devices in my home can be called by a Web URL link using one of my "devices" in my smart home.
One of those devices is an "All Off" function that turns all lights off when I press the button on my smart phone or a tablet on the wall, or even when I double tap the off side of the switch in the master bedroom.
I've already got VoiceAttack performing the same function for me and responding using TTS with a "Goodnight."
What I'd like the ability to do is to tie into my home audio using Spotify or similar by having VA pass variables to another application.
I'm not sure if that is possible...
Ideally, I'd say "Sarah, play Avenged Sevenfold" and Voice Attack would launch Spotify and play the Avenged Sevenfold station I have set.
If I changed that to "Sarah, play Disney Songs", it would find a station and play it.
Is it possible to set one command, such as "Sarah, play ________" and have it pass the "Avenged Sevenfold" or whatever on to an app?
I'm not a programmer, but I am very familiar with computers as I am an IT Systems Administrator. I'm a bit lost at the moment with how to get this done the way I want.
