Downloaded the trial today. Running Windows 10.

VoiceAttack refuses to listen to my microphone. It is a built in webcam/mic on my laptop. I have also tried a USB headset, and a bluetooth headset. VoiceAttack doesn't listen to any of them. The bar at the bottom never moves. The microphones work fine. Windows voice recognition works perfectly, as well as Skype.

I have tried:
Rebooting
Uninstalling and reinstalling
Creating a new voice profile
Changing default mics
Changing the setting from "Default input" to "use this one"

Listening is set to on. None of the top right icons are x-ed out. I can hear the program when I suspend/resume.

I realize I am probably just missing some random setting. But for the life of me, I can't find it. Can anyone give me some pointers?

OK, it has to be a setting on my computer, I'm figuring. I've downloaded and tried other apps. None of them hear my mic. But Windows Speech Recognition continues to work just fine. I'm running in Administrator mode. I've tried compatibility modes.

I really want to buy this program, but I just can't get it to work. I'm kinda begging here. If more info is needed, please, tell me what is needed.

Finally fixed the problem. My laptop came with audio enhancement software, Nahimic. It really helps the audio quality of my laptop speakers, and is supposed to increase the quality of my mic recordings. As long as Nahimic is running at all (even if it is deactivated), VoiceAttack will not pick up my mic. Close Nahimic, open VoiceAttack, and suddenly it works perfectly.
