I find that Nuance works better than Window default voice recognition so is there any way to either change the windows default voice reconnection to Dragon or to some how make Voiceattack recognise Nuance Dragon?

Hi, Michael.  VoiceAttack is SAPI-compliant, which means it should use any speech engine that presents itself as such to Windows.  Unfortunately, Dragon dropped their support for SAPI some time back and have not picked it back up again (probably around the same time they started charging $5k for their sdk).  Sorry about that!

That's too bad, is there any other voice recognition software that would work with Voiceattack that is pretty good?

The Windows speech engine actually works great for this type of usage.  Dragon is great for dictation, but you would be doing very little dictation with VoiceAttack.  Five minutes of training and you will be up and running with performance that is on par with Dragon for simple commands.
