My apologies for sending this out the second time. The attachment I sent yesterday was not a PDF and many could not open it so I'm re-sending it as a PDF.
Hello once again Friends of the Village of Hope Zimbabwe
Attached is what is probably our last newsletter of 2014. There are a number of events coming up that we want to share with you but it will likely be the first part of January before they actually get into a newsletter.
As most of you know by now, we will be leaving for Canada on December 7th. We have applied for an extension of one year on our work visa's which will allow us to return the end of February or first part of March for about three months, leaving again towards the end of May. The latter part of March we have a team from the West coming and the first part of May the team from Hanover will return for their 8th year in a row. While in Canada we will promote the Village of Hope in churches and whatever other venues we have opportunity to do so. We'll come back to Zimbabwe sometime in September for a couple of months which will be our final stint. We are very happy to be celebrating Christmas with our kids and grandsons this year.
We are indeed thankful there were no repercussions to the Village as a result of the death of one of our students. Without going into details just know that this is an answer to prayer - ours here at the Village and the cumulative effect of the prayers of the supporters of the Village of Hope on an on-going basis. We thank God; we thank you.
The next few weeks will be very full - lots of events and many things to tidy up before leaving for a couple of months. From this vantage point it's a challenge to think in terms of Christmas as there are few signs of Christmas around and the weather is quite warm.
Thank you for all your love, support, emails, words of encouragement and your prayers. We are wishing all of you the true blessings of Christmas - Love, Hope, Joy and Peace.
Blessings to all,
Gaye & Elizabeth
