Hi,

from my understanding using commands in menus and toolbars should be preferred over actions/actionSets.
Although I’ve been hacking eclipse plugins for quite some time, I really have no experience in UI development in Eclipse.
Basically, I want to add a button in the toolbar and, when I click it, a dynamically built menu is displayed. Now I’ve found this article (http://eclipse.dzone.com/articles/perspectives-and-views-toolbar) which pretty much covers what I need to do, but I can figure out how to refactor this implementation to use commands instead. Google hasn't really helped thus far.
Maybe using commands in this scenario doesn’t make much sense. Do you have any hints?

Regards,

Fred Bricon
