OSF is your all-in-one open science tool
Start the new year by strengthening your commitment to open science. OSF offers tools to enhance transparency and collaboration throughout your research, from conception to publication. This month's newsletter highlights how OSF supports each stage of the research lifecycle, making your work more transparent and reproducible. Whether starting fresh or building on existing projects, OSF is here to help.

Why Open Science?

Open science is a global movement that champions transparency, accessibility, and collaboration in research. By promoting practices like data sharing and preregistration, open science accelerates scientific progress and builds trust in research findings.

Incorporating open science practices can significantly enhance the quality, credibility, and impact of your research. Open science is a collective effort that invites everyone— regardless of role or experience— to contribute to a more equitable and trustworthy research ecosystem.

OSF: Your All-in-One Open Science Tool

From planning to final publication, the OSF platform enables you to easily organize, document, and share your research. Whether you're preregistering a study, tracking changes, or publishing final results, OSF’s robust features help you maintain transparency and streamline your research workflow.

The Monotropism Questionnaire

With thousands of users across disciplines, OSF supports countless research endeavors. Explore the platform to see how others are advancing open science! One standout example is The Monotropism Questionnaire, a tool designed to assess monotropism—a cognitive style marked by focused attention on a small number of interests. This project exemplifies the full research lifecycle, integrating transparent planning, data collection, analysis, and more.

Lifecycle Journal: Adding Trust to Your Research

As part of our commitment to supporting researchers with tools like OSF, COS is launching Lifecycle Journal, a new model of scholarly communication designed to enhance transparency and trust in research.

The Lifecycle Journal model puts publishing and evaluation in the hands of the research community. Like OSF, Lifecycle Journal supports open science throughout the research lifecycle, enabling research outputs to be shared, published, and evaluated at all stages.

Submissions to Lifecycle Journal are now open!

OSF is developed and maintained by the Center for Open Science (COS), a nonprofit in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. COS works to transform the culture of scientific research by developing open research technologies, offering training resources, engaging with research communities, conducting metaresearch, and partnering for change with science funders, institutions, and policymakers.

We invite you to learn more about COS’s efforts and to discover how open science is evolving across many different research landscapes by registering for our newsletter. We respect your privacy—and your inbox! We won’t spam you, and we will never sell, rent, or trade your contact information. You may unsubscribe from all COS communications at any time.
