You have Facebook shortcuts to help you easily access the Facebook functions used most frequently. For example, you'll see the home page shortcut (which always shows up there) and other shortcuts like Marketplace, Notifications, and News.
Your Facebook shortcuts represent the Facebook functions you're likely to access. The shortcut menu bar is dynamic and displays shortcuts to Facebook features that you use the most. However, you can customize them.
To add groups to your Facebook shortcut bar, go to Menu > Settings & Privacy > Settings > Preferences > Shortcuts > Shortcut Bar. Under Customize your shortcut bar, tap the Groups drop-down arrow, then tap Pin or Auto.
I dislike the FB app, and prefer to use the m.facebook site via the browser.
Until like a couple hours ago this was fine.
my shortcuts on the home screen for facebook and youtube and a couple other sites all disappeared, i was able to re add youtube fine, but facebook now asks be to install it as an app linked to brave rather then just a shortcut like it used to be.
Someone graciously created a Instagram Media Saver where I can save Instagram photos & videos. I also have a TikTok video saver that saves videos to my camera roll. But has anyone created a Facebook Reels shortcut where we can save Reels videos to our camera rolls?

I have always had my games in my shortcuts sidebar on Facebook, pinned to the top so I can click them easily. Just within the last hour, all my games have vanished from the shortcuts sidebar. When I click "edit shortcuts" it does not even show the games to be able to pin them to the top or anything. But the directions still include pages, groups AND GAMES even though they removed all the games! Does anyone know what is going on? King Admins do you know why Facebook deleted the shortcuts I intentionally bookmarked and did not give any new section to replace it? Other players, is this happening to you too?
I am in Papa Pear Saga Help group on Facebook and everyone else has also lost all their games from their Facebook shortcuts. I realize Papa pear is no longer really supported but this affects all games, all King Games and other companies games too. It's not just me.

Hi all, i'm having an issue where everytime i start the browser, a facebook "tile" shows up in the first empty square in the main page shortcuts section, i disabled the sponsored shortcuts, and removed it, but it keeps coming back, no idea what to do.
Why don't you try removing Facebook from your search history, if you don't use Facebook. Or check if you have accidentally added the shortcut yourself, while removing the shortcut the first time. If no one else responds to your query, then just ignore the shortcut and use the bookmark tab., or search for a online tutorial on customizing the home page.
If you "Dismiss" the shortcut, it should be added to a list of sites blocked from the built-in Firefox Home / new tab page and not return. Has Dismiss worked for the other sites in the starter set (Reddit, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube)?

I really want it gone forever, no idea why it keeps coming back. Before this happened i didn't have any empty tiles, so it wasn't an issue, now im puzzled.@jscher2000: Indeed, the facebook shortcut doesn't look like the sponsored ones, the context menu is different from what i could gather.I don't have any other shortcuts coming up, twitter or reddit.As far as it not being able to update prefs.js, i can say that changes to settings and tiles/links etc persist through startups, so it seems unlikely that could be the problem.How do i disable the popular sites in about:config ? could not find a setting for it.

When I use Facebook, which is rarely these days. I prefer to login into Facebook in Safari. These are the keyboard shortcuts I use. Note that the Navigation section says to use Control and Option + a number but that does work when VoiceOver is enable. Instead just press control + a number. For example you want to go to Notifications then press Control + 5 (not VO + 5 as they suggest).
Ok, I am on Katalina, and have searched high and low for an official facebook app, and can't find it. The only thing that shows up is the messenger app. That's it. For the life of me, I can't find this facebook app you speak of. I don't doubt what you're saying, but I seriously can't find it. I'm located in the U.S, so it shouldn't be a problem with the particular store.
