Hi everyone!

I am trying to build a digital vocabulary using VocBench.
I met several troubles that I cannot find how to resolve using the support documentation.
That's why I am here.
I hope you, who are here, can help me with them.

  1. Editing of concepts. I created several concepts. I can add different attributes to it, but I cannot edit them after that. I mean attributes that should be editable usually.
I added the screenshot "1" to this message.

  2. I cannot find some of the attributes like "dct:relation", "dct:hasPart", "dct:isPartOf", "dct:source", "dct:creator". I cannot even find how I can add this catalog to be able to select them.

  3. I suppose I have some trouble with permissions. I am the only administrator working in the local storage only. I have one user - it is me. But I cannot make changes as an administrator that should be available to be changed (for instance, in the project configuration).
Could anyone help me with that? What did I miss?

Hi Aliaksandr,

Welcome to the group.

Re 1. at this point you cannot edit concepts because – as indicated by the green italics in your screenshot - you have chosen the “Validation” option at project creation. With validation enabled, your new input needs to be validated first by an authorized user. For more information see https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/user/history_and_validation.jsf.

Re 2. To use DC Terms metadata, you need to owl:import the dct ontology first. This can be done in the Metadata > Namespaces and Imports section. For more information see https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/user/namespaces_imports.jsf#imports.

Dublin Core Metadata can also be enabled at project creation.

Re 3. Note that „Some settings, in order to be edited, strictly require the project to be inactive, so the [„Edit projects editor“] is available only for closed projects.“ (https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/user/projects.jsf#project_settings

Hope this helps

Kind regards

Roland
