I might have got what you ask, but I’m a little confused by the expression “the other way round”.
The “keep…synchronized..” option indeed works “the other way round” of the standard behavior, that is:
However, your request seem to have nothing to do with direction. Am I right that you are talking of simply have changes in the data reflected immediately over the tree? (i.e. without refreshing). Pls confirm. In affirmative case, I can give a cautious general answer, that is: VB3 is not a closed system in which certain statements can be changed only through determined actions, so keeping track of all possible effects could only work if any change is really parsed each time and analyzed for all the possible effects it has and the possible reflections in the various components (first off, the tree). That said, indeed we lost some listener over time for some of the most direct changes that are easier to track: we should restore them and probably add a few more.
