Dear Vocbench community,
I'm working with VB 14.0.0 and willing to use the alignment validation tool.
I created an alignement file using ONAGUI which is supposed to output a RDF alignment file in the EDOAL flavour (see attached)
I created a VB projet with the base URI http://opendata.inrae.fr/disciplines-scientifiques/
When loading the alignment file in VB, I get the error message "Alignment file loading error: Failed to open and validate the given alignment file. None of the two aligned ontologies matches the current project ontology" mentioned in the FAQ of your documentation page https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/user/alignment_validation.jsf
I checked the Alignment namespace which is correct.

Is there an information missing in my file re the aligned resources base URIs?
Or any idea of what is going wrong?

Best,
Sophie

Dear Sophie,

Check out https://moex.gitlabpages.inria.fr/alignapi/format.html. Note that properties onto1, onto2 are missing in your alignment file. Also, it has some additional elements that are not part of the EDOAL specification.

Try the sample alignment file attached.

Kind regards

Roland

Thanks a lot Roland.
VocBench could load the alignments and show them (almost) correctly in the interface. :-)
Almost as I expected to see the terms for the Target entities instead of URIs as the INRAE Thesaurus is hosted in the same VocBench instance and also, its concepts' URIs are dereferenced. Why are the concept URIs shown instead of prefLabels for the target resource?
When clicking on a URI, an error message appears (see attached) with a truncated URI to the concept :  Could not find RDF format for URL: /thesaurusINRAE/c_6544
Why is the domain name removed here?

Kind regards,
Sophie

The “world” icon on the URI indicates that the resource is not available. Make sure that the target is open and accessible.

> Why is the domain name removed here?
I'm not sure, but I believe the URL has been shortened to save space in  the error message

Kind regards
Roland

Dear Sophie,

a couple of things more, which I hope would help:

hosting a project on the same instance is not enough to have its content visible from other projects as VB allows for a level of multitenancy (which is however transparent to the administrators, who can see any tenant’s info).
Two things can be done:

  1. The project must declare which other projects it grants access to, so that, say, if project A grants access to project B, a user logged in project B can see the content of project A (e.g. in mapping scenarios) even if they are not associated with A
  2. Declare the project you want to be generally accessed from other projects as universally accessible so you don’t need to specify the accessibility for each project that must access it; see end of page: https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/user/project_access_control.jsf

Yes, I confirm what Roland said: the fact that the domain is missing is normal; it’s just the exception msg sent by the underlying library. It’s like saying: “given that I’m accessing domain xyz, I can’t access that resource (specifying only its path) in it”

Kind Regards,

Armando
