Information about ontolex:usage subproperties

Dear Vocbench community,

Vocbench provides the following subproperties for the ontolex:usage object property:

 

I could note that most of the listed properties are not defined in Lexinfo 3.0 (https://www.lexinfo.net/ontology/3.0/lexinfo). In fact, they do not exist in any other previous version of it (e.g., the lexinfo:domain). The available lexinfo 3.0 properties under ontolex:usage are:

Some of the subproperties made available by Vocbench are interesting and I would like to know more about them, but first it is important to confirm that they are really defined in Lexinfo (or somewhere else). Can someone please provide me this information?

Hi Pedro,

version 3 is the next revision of the LexInfo ontology that will address the migration from Monnet Lemon to OntoLex-Lemon. For this reason, we decided to adopt this new version, although it is still under development and some details might change.

We obtained the definition of the ontology from the GitHub repository:

https://github.com/ontolex/lexinfo/blob/master/ontology/3.0/lexinfo.owl

Looking at this file, it seems to me that there more properties that the 3 you mentioned. Can you verify it, please? Perhaps, the version of the ontology published at its namespace is outdated with respect to the GitHub repository.

I think that the best place to ask questions on the status of LexInfo 3 and its roadmap is the OntoLex Community Group (https://www.w3.org/community/ontolex/) and its mailing list, in particular: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-ontolex/

Hi Manuel,

John McCrae answered me and confirmed that the most recent version of Lexinfo is the one of GitHub, i.e., the one Vocbench is already using. He updated the website I cited in my previous so there will be no more confusion about the versions.
