I defines a few projects for people to train on. I give users a super user role. And give access to a given project to a given user as project manager.

A user that is not an administrator need to click on the icon just beside the “Current project:” in the top left to get a list of available projects.

In the list of projects in the popup window, I expect that any project the user has access to will appear. So, the user can open and access it.

But a project must be in open state to appear on the list of possible projects for the user. Is this as intended?

In the document page https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/user/projects.jsf it is stated - “Open/Close: tells whether a project has been opened inside the system. A project can be closed in order to release its resources. However, when a project is closed, it is not possible for common users to access it.” So, yes it as VB is made, but as intended? I find this restriction too hard. To me a user with project manager rights on a project should be able to list, open, work and close projects, the person has access to. Is there another setting to loosen this up a bit?

Kind regards.

Einar.

Dear Einar,
I agree with you, enabling a super-user to open projects he created or is assigned to would be a welcome improvement.

If your users work on a server, you can circumvent this limitation by setting the projects in question to "open at startup."

Kind regards
Roland
