Vocbench 12.1.0 & GraphDB 10.6.4 compability?

Hi,

We're installing the latest version of VocBench for production test, and realized there might be a problem. VocBench system documentartion (https://vocbench.uniroma2.it/doc/sys/#separate_triple_store) mentions that "For users of VB3 12.x, GDB version 10.6.2 MUST be used". However, the latest GraphDB available is 10.6.4 and 10.6.2 is not directly available from the ontotext website.

Could it be that the VB system documentation just slightly out of date, and the later version of GraphDB can be used safely? On the other hand - if the information is indeed correct, can we have a link to the earlier version of GraphDB? I did't spot anything wrong when testing with GDB 10.6.4, which of course does not mean there wouldn't be problems ahead with this setup.

thanks for the report, we had to indeed update this and we will move on both directions:

 

I can tell you that any new patch version (and in theory even minor version) should definitely work, so ok with 10.6.4. Our MUST was really more to stress the move to GDB 10.x (and no less than 10.6.2 because the previous repository migration routines in GDB didn’t take into account arbitrary SAIL plugins). I will update the text

 

On the other hand, I will check with Ontotext to obtain a permanent link to avoid the unreachability of a version that is guaranteed to work,

thanks to you for your precious feedback. About the permanent link, luckily since a few releases GDB is on Maven.

 

We updated both VB ad SV sites with the permanent link to 10.6.2, while confirming that 10.6.4 should definitely be ok
