Hello again,

Quick and easy question for you this time - is there any way to delete concepts in bulk? Besides 'Clear data' and SPARQL, we haven't been able to find such a feature. Could be integrated with Multiselection?

Best,
Jesper Eller

Dear Jesper,

I confirm that the delete action is not sensible to the multiselection (so only the focused element is deleted, ignoring the multi-selection through checkboxes). I don’t recall the details, probably it had to do with the many potential checks that are done when performing a delete and the fact that parallelizing deletes would have either ignored it or required a smart planner for scheduling deletions in the right order.

We are now quite busy with major releases of VocBench and ShowVoc, but I will check to add it to a roadmap for 2026.

In the meanwhile, a couple of things:

  1. Not for deletion of resources (as of their definitory triples), but some deletion actions indeed reuse the multiselection (e.g. in the editing options in the resource view, when multiple resources are selected, it is possible to perform bulk action including removing/modifying/adding a given triple for all selected resources). You possibly already know that but I thought it worth mentioning
  2. You can use APIs and perform bulk actions. Currently, these require to register a user as part of the session (see https://semanticturkey.uniroma2.it/doc/user/first_access.jsf ) but we are introducing Client Credentials Grant as part of support for oAuth in both VB and SV (should be available from the next version within end of 2025)

Kind Regards,

Armando
