VNLC Winter Big Bear Retreat
DEPARTING UCLA: 12/11 Saturday 12:00PM
ARRIVING UCLA: 12/13 Monday 3:00PM (roughly)
WHERE: Big Bear Lake Cabin
COST: $40 covers transportation, food, and lodging (does not cover
snowboarding)

SNOWBOARDING COST: (bring extra money or a credit/debit card)
if you haven't been there before
8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Full Day Lift Ticket : 36 Full Day
Rental Gear (Snowboard and boots): 30 = $66 to snowboard full day
12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Half Day Lift Ticket : 26 Half Day
Rental Gear (Snowboard and boots): 25 = $51 to snowboard half day
If you have a snowboard you are allowed to bring it on the bus. It is
suggested if this is your first time snowboarding, half day is
sufficient.
If you've been there before,a lift ticket is 10 dollars more, so $76
full day, $61 half day

WHEN AND WHERE TO MEET UP ON SATURDAY 12/11:
Meet Saturday Morning 11:15 at LOT 4 behind the intramural field. I
suggest being there early 11:15 as we are leaving at 12. Asian Time is
not the a good time to be on.
In order to make it on the bus, you must pay. You can write out a
check to VNLC, pay by cash, or pay by PAYPAL http://www.vnlc.info/content/vnlc-winter-retreat
You can hand your payment to any staff member before Saturday (which
we prefer) or you can pay on Saturday 12/11. So if you are thinking
about going, there isn't a deadline!
Make sure you eat breakfast/Lunch before 11:15, the bus ride will be
3-4 hours long.

WHAT WE ARE DOING THERE:
Saturday: settling in, exploring the area, claiming a spot to sleep..
Sunday: snowboarding or sledding or hanging out at the cabin
Monday: eating breakfast, cleaning up / packing up, leaving at 11:00AM
other things to do: play poker, play in the snow, make snowmen, build
igloos, make snow angels, drink, hot cocoa, meet new people, snowball
fight, relax, watch a movie etc!

IF YOU NEED A PLACE TO STAY FRIDAY NIGHT (GETTING KICKED OUT OF
DORMS?):
We will provide you with a staff member's apartment to stay at for the
night in case you are getting kicked out of dorms, or coming from
home.

airport afterwards, I am going to be at home and I need a ride back to
UCLA, I live in NORCAL is anyone driving back, I am a vegetarian what
